September 1908 abgegrenzt, erstreckt sich die demarkierte Region der Vinhos Verdes im Nordwesten Portugals, in der Gegend, die traditionell als Entre-Douro-e-Minho bekannt ist.<\/p><p>Die n\u00f6rdlichen Grenzen bilden der Fluss Minho, der teilweise die Grenze zu Spanien markiert, im S\u00fcden der Fluss Douro sowie die Gebirge Freita, Arada und Montemuro, im Osten die Gebirge Peneda, Ger\u00eas, Cabreira und Mar\u00e3o und im Westen der Atlantische Ozean.<\/p><p>In Bezug auf die geografische Fl\u00e4che ist es die gr\u00f6\u00dfte portugiesische demarkierte Region und eine der gr\u00f6\u00dften in Europa. class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Die Unterregion von Amarante liegt im Inneren der Region und hat \u00fcberwiegend Granitb\u00f6den, ist vor dem Einfluss des Atlantiks gesch\u00fctzt und liegt auf einer hohen durchschnittlichen H\u00f6he, so dass die Temperaturschwankungen \u00fcber dem Durchschnitt der Region liegen und der Sommer hei\u00dfer ist. Diese Bedingungen beg\u00fcnstigen die Entwicklung einiger sp\u00e4ter reifender Rebsorten: Azal und Avesso (wei\u00df), Amaral und Espadeiro (rot).
